SUNY Geneseo uses an enterprise-grade Cisco Meraki wireless network. Most modern devices work with eduroam
Older 802.11b devices will not. Personal access points or printers are not allowed, as they interfere with the network.
Personal wireless access points and wireless printers disrupt the campus network and are prohibited.
- Eduroam – Secure, preferred, works worldwide.
-
Geneseo Guest – Unencrypted, for guests; traffic can be intercepted.
-
gPlay – For gaming consoles and streaming devices that can’t join Eduroam.
Connecting to the campus wireless network conserves data usage and enables faster downloads. We recommend connecting your device to the eduroam network. This secure option saves your credentials, eliminating the need to log in each time you access your device.
