These directions will help you setup your Android Device to access Geneseo's secure wireless network.
π¨Android Devices need to install the
geteduroam application from the Google Play Store or go to this
page in a browser. This will import an encryption certificate and pre-configure most options for your connection to the eduroam network.
π¨These settings have not been tested with all Android models or versions of operating system.

On the home screen, go to settings β Wireless & Networks β Wi-fi settings and select eduroam.

Now select and input the following settings:
- EAP method β PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication β MSCHAPV2
- CA Certificate β (leave blank) On newer Android devices (13 or above), this needs to be: "Trust on First Use"
- User Certificate β (leave blank)
- Identity β Put your username here. Your username is your entire email address, ie. abc0@geneseo.edu.
- Anonymous identity β (leave blank)
- Password β your Geneseo password
Troubleshooting
If you're having trouble connecting we recommend:
- Forgetting the eduroam network in your wifi settings and then restarting your phone and reconnecting.
- You can also try re-installing the geteduroam application.
Steps for Forgetting Network Google Pixel
- Tap Network & internet, then select Internet.
- Tap the gear icon next to your current network or look under saved networks.
Steps for Forgetting Network Samsung Galaxy
- Tap Connections, then select Wi-Fi.
- Tap the gear icon next to the network you are using, or tap the three dots for Manage networks to remove older saved networks.
