Eduroam Wireless Network (Android Devices)

These directions will help you setup your Android Device to access Geneseo's secure wireless network.

 
 
  1. On the home screen, go to settings β†’ Wireless & Networks β†’ Wi-fi settings and select eduroam.

  2. Now select and input the following settings:

    1. EAP method β†’ PEAP
    2. Phase 2 authentication β†’ MSCHAPV2
    3. CA Certificate β†’ (leave blank)   On newer Android devices (13 or above), this needs to be: "Trust on First Use" 
    4. User Certificate β†’ (leave blank)
    5. Identity β†’ Put your username here. Your username is your entire email address, ie. abc0@geneseo.edu.
    6. Anonymous identity β†’ (leave blank)
    7. Password β†’ your Geneseo password

 

Troubleshooting 

If you're having trouble connecting we recommend:

  1. Forgetting the eduroam network in your wifi settings and then restarting your phone and reconnecting. 
  2. You can also try re-installing the geteduroam application.

 

Steps for Forgetting Network Google Pixel

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Network & internet, then select Internet.
  • Tap the gear icon next to your current network or look under saved networks.
  • Tap the Forget icon.

Steps for Forgetting Network Samsung Galaxy

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap Connections, then select Wi-Fi.
  • Tap the gear icon next to the network you are using, or tap the three dots for Manage networks to remove older saved networks.
  • Tap Forget or Delete.
