SUNY Geneseo offers wireless network access across campus for your computer and mobile devices. The campus wireless network is based on IEEE 802.11 technology, also called "Eduroam." This standard allows us to provide networking to computers over radio frequencies in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ranges.
SUNY Geneseo uses an enterprise-grade Cisco Meraki wireless network. Most modern devices work with eduroam
Older 802.11b devices will not. Personal access points or printers are not allowed, as they interfere with the network.
Eduroam โ Secure, preferred, works worldwide
Geneseo Guest โ Unencrypted, for guests; traffic can be intercepted.
gPlay โ For gaming consoles and streaming devices that canโt join Eduroam.
