Courtesy accounts are for individuals who do not have a current, formal employment or student relationship with SUNY Geneseo, but still need access to Geneseo services and computing resources. They provide access to Google Workplace, Brightspace, Office 365 on the Web, and a few other services. You can view our list of services with account access on our Geneseo Computing Accounts page. These accounts are primarily provided as a courtesy to allow users time to migrate data, provide business continuity, or bridge gaps between employment commitments and can be revoked at any time. 

Eligibility Period

Different types of accounts have different policies for how long they are granted courtesy access. Our Account Eligibility page covers that in full detail.

Mailing List Membership

Courtesy accounts are not included in most automated mailing list memberships (like faculty-l and allstudents-l).

How to Request One

To request a courtesy account, submit a New Account Request Form.
