Using the Geneseo Client Portal

The Geneseo Client Portal is your central hub for accessing services, support, and self-help resources at SUNY Geneseo. From the Client Portal, you can request services, report issues, browse the Knowledge Base, track and manage your tickets, and find answers to common questions. This guide provides an overview of the portal's key features and helps you get the most out of the resources available to you.

  The Client Portal offers two primary ways to get help. Understanding the difference can help you find answers and support more quickly.

• Need help from a support team? Use the Service Catalog to submit a request or report an issue.
• Looking for instructions or answers? Check the Knowledge Base for self-service resources and troubleshooting guides.

🔍 Search the Portal

The fastest way to find services related to what you need is by using the Search Bar in the upper right-hand corner. Just enter keywords like "Wi-Fi help" or "Brightspace issue" to find relevant results.

• Search Everything or Filter: By default, search returns results from both the Service Catalog and Knowledge Base. To limit your search to one source, select the filter option next to the search bar.
• Log In for Full Access: Always log in first! Some services and articles are restricted to specific campus groups and will only appear if you are signed in.

🎫 View, Track, and Manage Your Tickets

Select Sign In in the upper-right corner of the Client Portal, then navigate to Services > Ticket Requests. There, you can view all of your submitted tickets, check their status, review updates, and add comments or additional information as needed.

You will receive email notifications from teamdynamix@geneseo.edu whenever a ticket is created, updated, or closed. To communicate with support staff handling your ticket, simply reply to the notification email or add a comment directly to the ticket within the Client Portal.

⭐ Save Your Frequently Used Services and Articles

You can save services and knowledge base articles to your favorites for quick access in the future.

1. Sign in to the Client Portal.
2. On any service or knowledge article page, select the Add to Favorites button on the right side of the page.

To view your saved favorites later, navigate to:

• Services > My Favorites for favorited services
• Knowledge Base > My Favorites for favorited articles
