Sample Course Development Timeline

Designing and launching a high-quality online course takes thoughtful planning, clear structure, and time for review and refinement.

The following timeline provides a practical, step-by-step roadmap for preparing a Fall 2026 course, aligning Geneseo’s Course Readiness Checklist expectations with a standard course development process.

It breaks the work into manageable phases moving from early planning through design, content build, review, and final preparation so you can stay on track and ensure your course is organized, accessible, and ready for students on day one.
