
Selected Inputs
- Check either the SmartBox or Extron controller. The selected input (HDMI, VGA, Computer, etc.) should match the physical cable(s) you have connected to your device.

SmartBox
- When using a classroom equipped with a SmartBox, locate the lower left corner of the SmartBox and check the amplifier emergency-power-off switch. It must be turned to the ON position.

Sound Settings on Your Laptop
Windows 10
- Click the Speaker Icon in the taskbar and choose the appropriate audio output.
- Audio over HDMI connections will appear as Extron HDMI, ExtronScalerD, or the specific model number of the installed NEC Projector in the room.

- Analog audio connections (when utilizing a VGA cable) will appear as your laptop's standard analog output.

Windows 11
- Click the Speaker Icon in the taskbar, then click the audio output selection button (represented by an arrow) next to the volume slider, and choose the appropriate audio output.
- Audio over HDMI connections will appear as Extron HDMI, ExtronScalerD, or the model number of the installed NEC Projector in the room.

- Analog audio connections (when utilizing a VGA cable) will appear as your standard analog headphone/line-out device.

MacOS
- Click the Control Center icon in the upper right corner of the menu bar, click on Sound, and select the appropriate audio output.
- Audio over HDMI connections will appear as Extron HDMI, ExtronScalerD, or the model number of the installed NEC Projector in the room.

- Analog audio connections (when utilizing a VGA cable) will appear as your standard external headphones/line-out port.
