Respondus Monitor adds webcam and microphone proctoring to LockDown Browser for remote exams. The system records audio and video, using automated analysis to flag suspicious behavior for instructor review. It supports Windows, Mac, iPad, and Chromebooks, and can even monitor students while they use approved external apps like Excel or Word.
Before You Start
If this is the first quiz of the semester or students are new to Brightspace, allow extra time for them to download and test the software.
- The use of Monitor is a pilot for the Spring 2026 semester. We will be seeking feedback from faculty and students in April.
Requirements for Students
